Founding Sister "Peace"

Who Am I:

Sister Peace

I am a child of God, I am an heir, a queen, a princess, a daughter, a friend, I am love.

God said in His word, "Matthew 18:20: For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." When I started my first year of college, I had a desire to join a sorority, because of all the stories and memories, told to me by family and friends, stories of lifelong friendships and the journey to womanhood beginning. I was recruited to join two of the most predominant African-American sororities, but as I learned more and more about their organizations, I felt more and more like an outsider. Many of their beliefs I found were similar to my own, but the actions of the members spoke volumes to my spirit, and I decided that although the organizations were very prestigious and I held and still hold them in the highest regard, I needed something more, something that fed my spiritual as well as my intellectual appetite.

At that time, I had never heard of Christian Fraternities or Sororities, only the Greek based organizations, so I declined joining any, and just continued on with my education, and after that first year, I became a part-time student at a junior college, which made me ineligible to become a member. In June of 2003, a friend of mine Mario Jimerson, approached me inquiring if I were a member of a sorority and if not, would I want to be, because at which time he was considering becoming a member of another established organization and inquired if I would like to be a member of the sister organization. Due to a hectic work schedule I was unable to pursue membership with that organization, but then in June 2004, Mario approached me again regarding a sorority, but this time it was to become a founder of a sister Christian sorority, to their newly established Christian fraternity. Knowing that everything is done in God's time, I knew that this was my opportunity to not only be a member, but a founder of an organization, that I had been longing to be apart of for many years, so I jumped at the opportunity and blessing that God gave me.

Founding Sister "DeeVyne1"

Who Am I:

Sister DeeVyne1

Damikka Danielle Brock is a mother, daughter, sister and friend. Currently working to complete a Bachelor's degree in Global Business Management at Arizona State University West. She is a Contract Specialist and Office Manager for the State of Arizona. She is also an active member of the Foster Care Review Board and Cheer Coach for the South Pop Warner Football Association.

I believe in the start of this sorority for many reasons but the main reasons would have to be to bring the strength and connection back to the Christian Women. It is time once again to return to our roots and work together as an unit instead of struggling alone as individuals. It is time for us to resume our place in society as the hard working obedient servants of our Savior.

Founding Sister "Courage"

Who Am I:

Sister Courage

Lloydchelle Ransom is a student, friend & confidant. I choose to be different and become apart of a Christian Sorority because I want to be able to serve the Lord and still have fun. I want to be around women who have the same mindset and mentality that I have from a Christian standpoint, women whom I can have lifetime relationships with and whom I can be my self around.

If I was to join a non-Christian Sorority I would have to question some of the things I do. I would not be able to express myself fully as a Woman of God. I want to be the woman in Proverbs. I want to be around other women of God who are trying to show they approving in God's eye.

Founding Sister "Strength"

Who Am I:

"In the day when I cried out you answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul" Psalms 138:3

Mother, daughter, sister and friend. I am the parent of a 6yr old son who is my heart and my personal trainer (because he keeps me on my toes). I am currently a student at Phoenix College with a major in Nursing and a minor is Business and Journalism.

I think joining this sorority will help me because it will allow me to get out in society and do things in my community, and give me a sense of recognition. It will also give me direction on other skills and talents that I have yet to find. It will also give me to opportunity to meet new people, and obtain new friends.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out your hand Against the wrath of my enemies And your right hand will save me. Psalm 128:7
